Google is one of the biggest companies in the world, reaching billions of internet users through its products everyday. In its recent earnings call, CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Play Store has become the sixth Google product to be used by more than a billion people. We take a look at the six Google products with user base of 1 billion

Android
Google's mobile operating system Android has a user base of 1.4 billion and dominates the smartphone OS market. It has over 1.6 million apps and also has other content, such as movies, books, games etc. Google sells its own Android smartphones and tablets under the Nexus brand.

Maps
Google Maps, the default online mapping solution for many, also has over 1 billion users, thus making it among the widely used online products globally. It is available as a website as well as a dedicated app on mutiple platforms; it was ranked the world's most popular app in 2013 and continues to remain one of the most-used apps.
3.
Search
Google is synymous with internet search and is the most widely-used website in the world. It handles over 3 billion search queries per day and is available as a website and as an app on multiple mobile platforms.
4.
Chrome
Google's Chrome browser is also among the few products used by a billion people worldwide. Available on desktop as well as mobile devices, it is the browser of choice for many people: across all platforms, it has a market share of 45%. Its development was overseen by Google's India-born CEO Sundar Pichai.

Play Store
As mentioned above, Play Store is the latest Google product to reach a billion people. The content marketplace serves apps, games, movies, books etc to Android users. Pre-installed on most Android devices, Play Store has over 1.6 million apps, with the total number of downloads exceeding 50 billion.

YouTube
YouTube crossed the 1-billion user mark in March 2013; Google has given no update on its user base since then. The company says "every day people watch hundreds of millions of hours on YouTube and generate billions of views." The average mobile user now spends over 40 minutes on the YouTube app during each session; 50% of all YouTube views come from mobile devices.
